MediaPixel Games is now open: a new space for 3D assets, game art experiments, tutorials, production notes and downloadable resources.

Welcome to MediaPixel Games

MediaPixel Games is now open!

This new space is dedicated to 3D assets, game-ready objects, environment packs, tutorials, videos, production notes and behind-the-scenes content related to game art creation.

For me, this is not really a beginning. It is more of a return.

I started creating 3D models in 1999 with 3D Studio, making my first custom assets for games like Half-Life and Quake III Arena. At that time, creating game content was slower, more technical, and often experimental. Every model, texture and export felt like a small victory.

Around 2004, I became part of the French Cinema 4D community, where I continued learning, sharing and producing 3D work. Over the years, I created assets for projects and modding communities around games such as Battlefield and Oblivion, before focusing more deeply on CryEngine 1 and CryEngine 2.

My longest and most ambitious game art period was with Crysis. Until 2012, I worked on a mod project that led me to create hundreds of assets: props, structures, environment pieces, interface elements and many technical experiments. It was a demanding but incredibly formative experience, combining artistic production, technical constraints and the constant need to make assets work inside a real-time engine.

After that, I stepped away from game asset production for several years.

Today, I am happy to come back.

Modern game development has changed a lot. Tools are faster, workflows are more flexible, and independent creators have more ways than ever to build, share and publish their work. With MediaPixel Games, I want to reconnect with that creative process and contribute new content for current game projects, prototypes, indie productions and visual experiments.

This site will grow gradually.

You can expect:

  • 3D assets and props
  • complete asset packs
  • free downloadable samples
  • links to packs available on external stores
  • tutorials and workflow notes
  • videos and showreels
  • production breakdowns
  • experiments around stylized environments, vehicles, props and game-ready content

The goal is not only to sell packs. MediaPixel Games is also meant to be a workshop: a place to document the process, show the evolution of the assets, share useful techniques and build a coherent collection over time.

Some assets will be available for free. Some packs will be released on stores such as Fab. Others may simply be shown here as studies, tests or production notes.

This first post marks the opening of the site, but also the beginning of a new production cycle.
